How can I join St. Pats GAA club?
To join St. Pats GAA, simply complete our registration form or message us on our social media channels. Our club registrar will assist you with any necessary paperwork to officially register with our club
Do I need prior experience in Gaelic football to join?
While experience is beneficial, it’s not required. We welcome players of all skill levels and backgrounds.
What are the membership fees, and what do they include?
Membership fees vary yearly but are always very reasonable. We offer discounts for dual players (those who play both hurling/camogie and football). Fees cover training pitches, equipment, tournament fees and participation in Toronto GAA League and championship.
When and where does the team practice?
Pre-season indoor training starts in early February and runs until the end of March. From April, we move outdoors with trainings twice a week during the summer.
What is the competitive season for Gaelic football in Toronto?
Our season kicks off with pre-season tournaments in April/May. The league starts in May, and the championship begins in July, running until the end of August.
Are there different teams or levels within the club?
We have a Senior Men’s and Senior Ladies’ team. We also participate in Junior Blitzes throughout the season.
Is there a youth program for children interested in learning Gaelic football?
St.Pats don’t currently have an underage program, however please do get in touch for information about youth programs, running in the city.
How can I get involved if I'm interested in joining the club as a social member?
We appreciate all club members and encourage you to get in touch, either through our social channels or by completing our registration form.
Do you have any social events or activities outside of training and matches?
Absolutely! We have a jam-packed social calendar including club trips, mystery tours, and a summer party on Toronto Islands, among other events. Keep an eye on our social channels for more info.
Can you provide any advice on finding accommodation in Toronto for new arrivals?
Get in touch and we will help you get set up and on you feet with work and accommodation. Popular areas for club members include the Downtown Core, Liberty Village, Queen West, Leslieville, Yonge/Eglinton, Little Italy, Little Portugal, Cabbagetown, Kensington Market, and the Distillery District. Our training fields are close to public transit, making it easy for players to attend regardless of where they live in Toronto.
Are there any job resources or networking opportunities for new members moving to Toronto?

Our training locations are easily accessible by public transit. Specific training locations and route information can be provided, just drop us a message on any of our social channels.
Does the club assist with work visa applications or provide information about the process?
Yes, we’ve become experts in work visas over the years. We’re happy to guide you through the process to make your move easier. Just get in touch, and we’ll provide the information you need.
What's the weather like in Toronto, and how does it affect the Gaelic football season?
Toronto has warm summers and cold winters. Our season is structured to make the most of the good weather, with indoor training in late winter and outdoor play from spring through summer.
Do you have any partnerships with local gyms or fitness centers for off-season training?
Yes, we have partnerships, we a few gyms across the city that many of our members avail of to maintain their fitness during the off-season. Get in touch to learn more.
How competitive is the Gaelic football scene in Toronto and Canada?
The Gaelic football scene in Toronto is quite competitive, with five senior mens and ladies clubs in the city. This creates an enjoyable and challenging season for all!
Are there opportunities to travel for tournaments or matches in other cities or countries?
Yes! We have an annual club trip to Chicago in May and participate in the Canadian National Championships in September (every second year).
Can you provide information about healthcare and insurance for new arrivals in Toronto?
While we don’t provide specific healthcare information, we can guide new arrivals towards resources for understanding Ontario’s healthcare system and obtaining necessary insurance.
